What are the chains and guards on doors for?

Modern door chain locks  include  safety and security in a similar way to a  screw.  They allow a door to be  opened up to approximately 150 mm  and also still keep it  firmly fastened.  The  passenger can check a caller's  identification before  completely  unlocking.
